Being a Trustworthy Person
It seems to me from my dealings with all kinds of people in all areas of my life that it is hard to find a trustworthy person. It is hard to find someone who will do what they say they will do, and do it at the time they say they will do it. This makes life so much harder because things don't work as they are supposed to work. This should show us the importance of being trustworthy ourselves.
The Bible is very clear about Daniel and his character. (Daniel 6:4) "The commissioners and satraps began trying to find a ground of accusation against Daniel regarding his government affairs; but they could find no ground of accusation or evidence of corruption because he was trustworthy, and no negligence or corruption was to be found in him." What a great testimony about Daniel!
I pray that the very same thing could be said about each of us when it comes to our job responsibilities and our dealings with other people. Wouldn't it be fantastic if our enemies could not find any ground of accusation against us? That means they couldn't even find something of which they could accuse us of doing wrong, much less prove anything.
I pray that we will not be negligent to do anything that we should do or that we have promised to do, and that there would be no corruption in us. We should have a pure heart that is set on being trustworthy, and that will translate into the right actions as we serve the Lord in the power of the Spirit. Yes, no one is perfect, but we should strive for perfection, and God will be able to bless us as He blessed Daniel.
