Having a New Song in My Mouth

 It is such a fantastic blessing to see God work in a powerful way to pull us from a very difficult or even impossible situation. Of course, we know He is able to do miracles, but when we see one, it moves our heart to praise Him. When others hear our praise, they are drawn to the Lord. That is why we need to keep telling of God's goodness.

King David had a great testimony to this effect. (Psalm 40:2-3) God had brought him up out of the pit of destruction,  out of the mud; and He had set his feet on a rock, making his footsteps firm. Then, God put a new song in his mouth, a song of praise to God. He knew that many would see and fear come to trust in the Lord.

God is in the rescue business. Even when we are in a deep pit of depression or destruction,  He can and will lift us out, if we trust Him fully. Then, we find ourselves on firm footing in our life. What a joy that is for us

Then, we have a new song to sing about how God delivered us. We give Him all of the glory as we share our testimony with others. This will enable many to see the greatness and compassion of God. It will cause them to be in awe of Him and worship Him. They will come to place their trust in Him as Lord of their lives.
