My Heart Triumphs
Most of us like to win. Winning is fun. It makes us feel like we have accomplished something. Of course, when we win a game, it is just a game. It is not going to make a huge difference in our life. However, when we win in life that does make a significant difference to us. It is more than a feeling.
David wrote out how he won in life. (Psalm 28:7) He said that the Lord was his strength and his shield. He trusted in the with his heart and he was helped. Therefore, his heart triumphed, and with his song he thanked God for that victory. We all need for our hearts to triumph in the Lord.
When we trust in our own heart to make decisions and to do what we need to do, we fail most of the time. We get defeated by the world, the flesh, or the devil. We are beaten down, and we do not think we deserve for God to love us. Instead, we should trust in the Lord and let Him be our strength and shield. Then, we can triumph in Him.
It is up to us to set our heart to trust in the Lord, instead of trusting in ourselves. That way, we will win in the battles of life. We will see Satan defeated. We will not listen to the world or our flesh. We will overcome, and we will rejoice in the successes that come from trusting the Lord. We will thank the Lord for giving us the victory.
