The Rise and Fall of Nations

 We hear a lot of talk today about which nations of the world are the most powerful. We hear talk of China wanting to be the most powerful and whether that will happen or not. We see so many problems plaguing our country with the debt rising and the morality going down, down, down. What is going to happen? I believe God's Word speaks to these issues.

Israel rose to prominence during David's reign. (Psalm 20:7-8) He gave us his insight on the rise of Israel by saying that some nations boast in chariots and horses, military might, but Israel trusted in the name of the Lord their God. He said that those nations will fall down, but Israel would rise up and stand firm. His testimony should grab us today.

Our country is weakened because we have turned away from God. We trust in military might, not the Lord. We have rejected His Word, and we are not doing things in line with His name, His character. We are seeing our decline and potential collapse. If we are surpassed in this world, it will be because of abandoning God's ways.

We must make an effort to earnestly pray for our country, our leaders, to return to the Lord. We must follow His financial principles and the truths that He has established for our lives, our families, and our government.  If we will do that, our country will rise up. This is especially true if we would have a revival and people would turn to Jesus as Lord and Savior. Please, join me in praying for these things.
