We Adore You, Lord

We can become smitten with certain people. We have special feelings because of their loving nature, their strong character, or their talents. We just love to talk about them with others, and it is a joy to get to be with them in any way. That is how we should be toward the Lord. We should adore Him.

David led Israel to adore the Lord and gave the reasons. (I Chronicles 29:11) He prayed, "Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on Earth is Yours, O Lord, and this is Your kingdom. We adore You, as the One who is over all things." This should help us adore the Lord.

God is adorable because of His greatness. No one is greater than God in any way. He is so powerful, more than anyone in the universe. No super hero compares to God. He is glorious, like a king in His pomp and prestige. God always wins every victory. No one can defeat Him in anything. He is just plain majestic in all He does.

We should adore Him daily, and speak of Him being the King over His spiritual kingdom and the physical universe. We should always adore Him as the One who is over all things in the heavens and on Earth. See what I mean? He is much more adorable than any real or fictional person, so let's adore Him!
