Our God is Greater

When we talk about God, sometimes it is hard to describe Him to other people. We don't know what to say to define God or to give others a clear picture of who He is. Yes, God is love, and that is wonderful. He is also holy. However, another way we can tell people about God is that He is greater. There is no competition for God in any area.

The Bible makes this clear to us. (II Chronicles 2:5) The Temple had to be built as a magnificent temple, because our God is greater than all other gods. That covers it pretty well, doesn't it? All other gods pale in comparison to the One True and Living God.

God's power is greater. His love and compassion are greater. His wisdom and knowledge are greater. His patience and longsuffering are greater. God is greater than all other gods, so why would anyone choose to worship other gods? It doesn't make sense, does it?

We all have a choice. We can serve the gods of other religions or the gods of this world. Or we can reject those gods, and we can worship the God who is greater. I pray we will all make the right choice, because if we choose to worship and follow any other gods, they will not be able to do what our God can do to give us an abundant life here and in eternity with Him.
