How Satan is Conquered

Satan is very smart, and he is very active with all of his demons all over the earth. They are roaming around seeking people to devour, Peter told us. I am afraid he is very successful in his task. He is able to tempt many people to decide to walk away from the Lord. Even those who come to know Christ are defeated by Satan when they do not know how to conquer him. The sad thing is that this never should happen to a believer. The apostle John showed us how to conquer Satan in the book of Revelation. (Revelation 12:11) We overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, when we do not love our lives to the point of death. I pray we will all take this battle plan and conquer Satan in our lives at every turn.

We do not have to defeat Satan in our own power. In fact, we couldn't defeat him by ourselves if we wanted to. However, Jesus has already conquered Satan by His blood shed on the cross. When Jesus died, He defeated Satan, sin, and death forever. Now, Satan is our defeated foe, even though he is still roaming around. All we have to do is to remind him of Jesus's victory over him by His precious blood of the Lamb, and then he knows he is powerless. Then, we give him our testimony that we belong to Jesus, because we trusted Him as our Lord and Savior. We can speak to him in Jesus's name and quote the Bible to him, and he has to flee from us. Of course, we can't be afraid of him, or we will give in to him. We must be fearless, not loving our life to the point of death. In other words we must go against Satan proclaiming the blood of Jesus and our testimony, no matter what happens to us, because even if  we die, we win. Jesus will take us to heaven to be with Him. Either way, we conquer Satan.
