God Understands

Sometimes, we think God does not understand what we are feeling and what is going on with us. We can even think that He does not really care, because He does not give us everything we want. None of this is true. God does understand us very well. Moses knew the Lord as well as anyone, and he gave us insight into how we can know that God understands. He saw this when God called him to go back to Egypt to deliver Israel from bondage. (Exodus 2:29) Please, take time to digest what this verse means for all of us who know Him.

God understands, because God listens. He listens to our groanings, like He did for Israel in Egypt, and He listens to our rejoicing. He hears all of what we say, and He knows what we think and pray. Don't ever doubt that God is listening. God remembers, too. He remembers that we have trusted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and He is quick to fulfill His covenant with us. God is always faithful, because He never forgets anything. God sees everything, the good and the bad. He sees what is going on with us and those around us. Therefore, God understands perfectly well. Then, He acts based on His understanding of us, our situation, and our needs, but He also acts based on His perfect plan for us. That is what so many of us fail to consider. Please, know that God understands, but His ways are not our ways. We must trust that He will do the right things, even when we do not understand what is happening, because of His love and understanding.
