Alert and Not Ashamed

We have all been caught in very embarrassing situations. Sometimes, we are shamed because we were not ready for something to happen. At other times, we were caught doing something wrong. One of the most embarrassing things is to be caught without our clothes on. There is even an old saying, "We don't want to get caught with our pants down." Jesus used that word picture to get our attention about His Second Coming. John included a warning from Jesus for the people alive before the Battle of Armageddon  that He was coming like a thief, and that they should be alert and remained clothed, so they would not go around naked for people to see their shame. (Revelation 16:15) I believe there is a great lesson for all of us today in this warning, too.

Jesus could come any second now. Are you ready? Only those who know Jesus as Lord and Savior are ready for the Rapture to occur. Jesus will catch away His saints, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. We will either be taken, or we will be left without any hope of salvation, if we have heard the gospel and rejected Christ. Those saved in the Tribulation time will be those who had never heard the gospel before the Rapture. Those who are left behind will be ashamed. They will be left naked in that they have no faith in Jesus. They are not clothed in His righteousness. They will be shamed in the worst way. Please, do not let that happen to you. Be alert and ready to go any minute. Make sure Jesus finds you faithfully serving Him at that moment.
