Entirely True and Eternal

The Bible is an incredible book. It is the Word of God given to us through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. There is no other book like it. It was written by about 40 men over a 1,500 year span of time, yet the agreement between the authors on various subjects is stunning. The confirmation of the archaeologists confirm much of its historical accuracy. The fact that every fulfilled prophecy it contains has come true 100% shows that only God could have given it to us. Then, the simple message that is so consistent from Genesis to Revelation points to the Loving, Redeeming God who created the universe and us. It shows that He desires a relationship with us, so He gave us His revelation of Himself and His will. All of this is why the psalmist could say that His Word is truth in its entirety, and the righteous judgments are eternal. (Psalm 119:160) Stop to consider the implications of what God has told us here.

The Bible does not contain the word of God. If that were the case, it could contain things that were not the word of God. The Bible, as inspired by God and written in Hebrew and Greek by the men whom God used, is the word of God. It does not contain errors. It is entirely the truth, and God made sure that every word portrays His truth, not man's interpretation of the truth. Because of this fact, it will be true forever. All of the righteous judgments that are written in the Bible are valid forever. This is true because truth will never change. All truth is God's truth, and God is eternally the King of the universe, and He does not change. Therefore, the Bible is absolute truth in all that it teaches. It is true anywhere and any time for any people. So the next time you pick up a Bible to read it or you read from a digital version remember: "It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy."
