Faithful, Blameless, Pure, and Shrewd

Our God is amazing! He is able to be whatever we need Him to be in every circumstance of life. He knows how to relate to every person, whether they are righteous or unrighteous. David knew this truth, and we need to learn it, too. (Psalm 18:25,26) In fact, by learning how God relates, we can see how we should relate to various kinds of people with whom we interact. Let's seek what God has for us in these verses.

When God deals with faithful people, He proves to them that He is faithful. They may not see His faithfulness at first, but eventually God's faithfulness will shine through. Think of Job. That is why we always need to be faithful and trustworthy to others who are faithful and trustworthy. Then, they know we are people of character. When we meet blameless people, we need to be blameless, too. That is what God does, and we must do the same. We should show the blameless person that we are not compromising with temptation and sin, but we are serious about being blameless. Then, they know they can relate to us well. Also, when we are privileged to know a person who is pure, we must show that person that we have a clean, pure heart, because we follow the Lord and confess our sins, as soon as the Holy Spirit convicts us. They can relate well to us, then. However, when we meet crooked people, we have to take a different approach. We can't become like them, but we have to be shrewd. We have to interact with them with God's wisdom, so that we show them we know what they are up to, and we know it is not good. Then, we can show them the way they should go, and do it in a way that they will listen to us.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 19-22.
