God Cares for You
It doesn't matter who you are, God cares for you. Yes, I mean it. Even if you are an atheist, God cares for you. If you have murdered someone or committed other serious sins, God still cares for you. God cares for every person in this world. We are all created in His image, and we are made to have a relationship with Him. He is love. He loves us, and He cares for us. What is it that you are anxious about this Christmas? What is worrying you? Do you have a burden you are carrying? Peter was very clear what we should all do. We should be casting all of our anxieties or cares upon Him, for He cares for us. (I Peter 5:7) Please, take time to obey this admonition, because it will make your Christmas and your life so much better.
When we are upset with another person, it does us no good to fret over it and stew about it. We lose sleep, and we make our self sick. That causes us to be miserable, but it does no good. Cast that situation upon the Lord. He can lead us to be reconciled. When we have financial problems. Yes, we can and should go looking for a job or work more to be responsible. However, we must also rely on God's care to provide what we need at the right time. If we have marriage or family needs that are weighing us down, we must not let them get worse and worse. We must constantly lift them to the Lord in prayer, until He shows us what to do and how to do it. He knows and He cares, so He can and will always help us, if we cast all of our anxieties upon Him.
Tomorrow, I intend to read II Peter 1-3.
