Prescription for Godly Success
Many people want to have worldly success, but that is far inferior to godly success. The successful and prosperous people of this world do not have peace of mind and heart, real joy in their lives, or God's unconditional love for Him and other people. Some of them are very miserable, even though they have everything they want. Those who find godly success have all of those things. Joshua was told by God how to have this godly success. (Joshua 1:8) It is still available for all of us today.
It is very easy to see how to obtain godly success. We must have a copy of the Word of God, and we must read it daily, so that we can meditate on it day and night. This fills our heart and mind with the truth and God's way to live. If we will apply ourselves to do all that we read, God promises to make our way prosperous and to give us good success. This may not mean financial prosperity like the world, but we can prosper in many ways. We might not obtain success in business , but there are more important ways to succeed, like being a good husband and father. Then, when we look back on our life, we will be able to see how God has prospered us and given us godly success.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Joshua 4-6.
