Do Not Fear or Be Dismayed

Many people are paralyzed by fear, even believers. The Lord doesn't want any of His children to suffer from fear. The fear of people or things never comes from the Lord. It is always a device of Satan to keep us from doing what the Lord would have us to do. We must learn this truth, so that we are never given over to fear and dismay. How can we do that? Listen to what the Lord told us through Moses. (Deuteronomy 31:8) It is very clear, but we must receive it, and be assured of this truth.

When we know Christ, God goes before us. That means, there is nothing that happens to us that God did not see in advance. There is nowhere we go that He did not get there first. He is with us in all of the circumstances of life. His promise is that He will never leave us or forsake us. We may rebel against Him, as Israel did, but He will never leave us. When we realize what we have done, and we return to Him, we find that He is still there to forgive and to bind us up. However, if we remain faithful and follow Him, we will never have to experience a time without Him. We can have true peace, instead of fear. We can have confidence in Him, instead of being dismayed. That is God's will for His people, and His promise to all of us.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Deuteronomy 32-34.
