Judgment According to What We Deserve

The grace and mercy of God are so wonderful. His grace gives us more than we deserve, and His mercy gives us less punishment than we deserve. However, if we push God to the limit with our rebelliousness and blatant sins, finally, He gives us the judgment we deserve, instead of grace and mercy. (Ezekiel 7:27) Could it be that we are close to that line in America today?

When God decides to bring His judgment on a nation, the king mourns and the wealthy are clothed with desolation. The hands of the common people will tremble. No one will be immune to the judgment of God, when that day comes. Yes, God will be with His children, but that will not protect us from all of the suffering. We are to be the ones calling everyone back to God, because we can see clearly what could be coming if we receive what we deserve.

God is perfectly just in giving us this kind of judgment because we have all sinned, and we have all failed Him in some way. However, the judgment will not come just to harm us or to punish us. It will come to show us without a doubt that He is Lord. We need to remember that every day, instead of having to get to the time of great judgment to remember it. Then, we will obey His voice, and do His will as we submit to Him, as Lord.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezekiel 9-11.
