Many Waters Cannot Quench Love
Love is a powerful force. Love is a priceless commodity when we receive it from another person. These two things are especially true for the marriage relationship. Solomon knew this very well. (Song of Solomon 8:7) Have you felt the full power of godly love? Have you found the love of your life?
Many people search for love in all the wrong places. They think love is a feeling or a physical relationship. It is neither. Love is a commitment to another person. Marital love is a once and for all commitment to the person God created for you. When you have that type of love between a man and a woman, there is no power that can destroy it. In fact, it gets stronger and stronger as the years pass. Since that is the nature of love, it is priceless. It would be disgusting to try to buy it. There would be no worthy price. When we find love, we give all we have to the other person, which is much more than money. That is God's design for every marriage. It is to be built upon Him and the power of His matchless love.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 1-3.
