Welcoming the Word of God
Most people are very skeptical about the Bible being the word of God. Also, when people hear preachers share the word of God, they think it is only the words of a man and not God's word. It is only when people welcome the preaching and the Bible as the word of God that it has the ability to work effectively in them. (I Thessalonians 2:13) That is what some of the people of Thessalonica did when Paul came preaching to them. We need to do the same thing every day.
The Lord works through our faith. It is when we have faith to surrender to Jesus as Lord and Savior that we are saved and adopted into the family of God. It is when we live daily by faith that God can lead us and bless us. It is when we fully welcome His word by faith that it works effectively in us to accomplish His will. If we look at it as the words of men or if we are skeptical of it being God's word, it will not change us and speak to our lives the truths we need to learn and apply.
Tomorrow, I intend to read I Thessalonians 3-5.
