Leaders Who Cause People to Err
Being a leader is a very serious responsibility. A leader can lead people in the right direction, or a leader can lead people in the wrong direction. When the latter happens there are devastating results. (Isaiah 9:16) Which direction are you going and why?
Many people simply live their lives by playing "follow the leader." They do not think for themselves. They just go where the crowd is going. Usually, the crowd has a leader, but that leader may be going in the wrong direction. The result of following that type of leader is destruction.
However, each of us has the power to choose our direction in life. We can choose not to go with the crowd, and we should do that when we realize the leader is leading them into error. Instead of being led to destruction, we should find a godly leader, who will lead us into growth and life. That leader may not be as popular, and the crowd following that leader may be smaller, but to live in victory is so much better. Please, do not fall victim to wrong-way leaders. Find someone to lead you on the straight and narrow way that leads to life.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 10-12.
