God Will Halt the Arrogance of the Proud
This world is getting very evil. The tapes about the inhuman practices of Planned Parenthood are a good example of this unspeakable evil. Much of the wickedness is driven by pride, so God will halt the arrogance of the proud, too. (Isaiah 13:11) I am not sure what will happen or when, but I know the Lord, and I know He is faithful in His promises.
As believers, we must not be discouraged. We must not give up. The tendency is to think that our world is so evil and proud that there is nothing we can do to make a difference. That is never true. The Lord told Isaiah to keep sharing His words with the people until everything was destroyed. We must do the same thing. We are surrounded by broken people, broken families, and a broken country. God is punishing the evil and the pride. We are here to let them know that the Holy God of Heaven hates sin, but if they will turn from their sin and put their trust in Jesus, who died for their sins, and rose again to show His victory over Satan, they can be spared their punishment. That is the Good News of Jesus, and it gets to be better and better news each day as the world gets more and more sinful. Just remember, there is no one so evil or proud that God can't redeem them by the blood of Christ.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 17-20.
