What To Do When God Is Angry With You
Some people try to run from God when they know He is angry with them. How smart is that? Others try to ignore God. That never works either. The Prophet Zechariah gives us the correct response. (Zechariah 1:2,3) I think it is something we all need to know and to practice.
When we know God is angry with us, we need to return to Him as fast as we can. Most people do not do this, because they are feeling ashamed. The Devil tells them that God will never forgive them for what they have done, so there is not use in returning to Him. Many people also are fearful of what God will do to them, if they do turn back to Him. The real danger is what He will do if they do not return to Him. Again, that is a fear planted in us by Satan. The truth is that if we return to the Lord, He will return to us. If we come to Him sincerely repenting of our sins, He will joyfully welcome us back into full fellowship with Him. There is nothing to lose in returning to God, and there is everything to gain.
