Complete Restoration
God is in the restoration business. In fact, when God restores a people or an individual, they are completely restored just as if nothing happened to separate them. (Zechariah 10:6) This is an amazing characteristic of God that we need to know about and that we need to share with others.
Have you done something wrong, and you think God could not forgive you or He would not want to have a relationship with you because of that? Please, don't fall for that lie of Satan. God not only forgives, but He restores us like nothing ever happened. Let me explain.
All of us have sinned before God, because we were born with a sinful nature, and we choose to sin from a very early age. That is why Jesus came to give His blood and His life as a sacrifice for our sins. He paid the debt we owed, so that if we trust Him, we can be forgiven. Then, God "justifies" us. He makes us "just as if we had not sinned" in His eyes. We are restored to full fellowship with Him, no matter how much we had sinned.
Also, when we know the Lord, and we sin. We need to confess those sins, because they affect our relationship with God. When we do, He cleanses us completely, and we are restored to full fellowship with Him. We are not penalized for our sins to make God love us less. Yes, there are consequences for sins, but they are to keep us right with Him and to show others the seriousness of sin.
God restored Judah, and He will restore you, if you will turn to Him in repentance and faith. Please, let me know if I can help you in any way.
