The Way of Escape from Temptations
There is never any excuse for believers to give into any temptation that comes into our lives. We need to hear what the Lord spoke to us from the apostle Paul in I Corinthians 10:13. It will give us the right perspective to live in victory over temptation.
We never face a temptation that is worse than what others experience. It is only a lie of Satan when we think that we have it worse than others. God is faithful, and He knows just how much we can bear, so He never allows us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. God is All-powerful. He knows us perfectly. He knows what Satan can do, and He limits what Satan can do in the lives of believers. Then, when He does allow a temptation, He always give us THE way of escape. It is His solution to the problem. His way for us to react or act. It is the way that God gives us, so we must listen to Him and obey. Then, we can bear the temptation and do His will. It is not easy, but it is always possible in His power and in His way, so we are without excuse.
Tomorrow, I intend to read I Corinthians 13-15.
