We Can't Direct or Correct God
Prayer is a very positive blessing from God. He allows us to speak to Him about anything, so we can know His will and do His will. Prayer is not for directing God what to do or for correcting what God has done.(Job 36:22,23) I am sure this makes sense, if we will think about it for a minute.
God is the Creator of everything. He knows everything about all of His creation. Therefore, as He directs His creation, including people, He never needs guidance or makes a mistake. If He needed direction or correction, He would not be God, since God is the greatest Being in the Universe. If we could direct Him or correct Him, we would be God. That is never going to happen.
Instead, we need to go to God for direction and correction. We need to know what to do and how to do it before we make mistakes. Then, we need to know how to correct what we have messed up. It would not help for Him to change things to suit our lives, since what He does affects many people. Let's let Him be in control of our lives totally.
