Things Evolution Can't Explain
When God answered Job in the whirlwind, He showed us all how much we don't know. People are just smart enough to be dangerous. However, our intelligence and earthly wisdom tend to make us proud and lead us away from God, instead of toward Him. Stop to think about this for a minute, "Who has put wisdom in the mind? Or who has given understanding to the heart?(Job 38:36)
Did wisdom evolve from the chemicals that came together in the slim to form life? Is understanding something that appeared out of millions of years of evolution? Why do we speak of the heart and emotions? Where did feelings come from? In my opinion evolution does not explain any of these things adequately. Can an explosion bring order? I have never seen it. Does a totally impersonal process of random selection cause wisdom and understanding to be planted in our minds and hearts? That is absurd. Only an intelligent, loving Creator could design and created humans and the rest of the world. Only God could have given us wisdom and understanding. We owe it all to Him, and we must never get pride from this fact. It ought to humble us, as it did Job.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Job 40-42 and Psalm 1.
