Choose Life
Life is a choice. We do not get to choose whether we exist or not, but we have the choice of life and death, blessing and cursing.(Deuteronomy 30:19) Life comes from God, and He is the one who can bless us with real, meaningful life. When we reject Him and His ways, we accept simply existing over living.
Just think of all of the sorrows, pains, and frustrations of our existence. Most of them are caused by our choices. We choose to go our way and to not obey God's laws. This choice leads us to experience the curses of life. I am sure I do not have to name them. We see them all of the time. These are not the will of God for us. He desires for each person who exists to have life. That is why He has inspired the Bible to be written for us to know how to have life.
Of course, real life begins when we surrender to Christ as our Lord and Savior. Until that time, we are dead in our sins. We may think we are living, but we are merely existing. Life comes from Christ. It is eternal and abundant. The life He gives leads us to holiness, so we choose the right way and reject the wrong ways of life. Have you chosen life? He is waiting for you to make the choice, and He is ready to throw a party for you in Heaven when you do.
