The Eyes of the Lord
This morning I read II Chronicles 16:9 and the devotional from Experiencing God Day by Day. It lifted by heart to think that God is always busy looking all over the earth for those people whose hearts are loyal to Him. When He finds them, He shows Himself strong to them. It is God's pleasure to do this. He loves to see people who are loyal to Him and to bless them with strength.
The eyes of the Lord can see clearly. The eyes of the Lord are rapidly searching all over the world. The eyes of the Lord are merciful and loving, but they long to find loyalty. Then, the eyes of the Lord know just what that loyal believer needs, so the Lord is able to pour out power into that life. It is very comforting to think that the eyes of the Lord are on us, when we are loyal to Him. It is frightening to think that His eyes are on us, when we are disloyal to Him. I pray that all of us will seek to be loyal to the Lord and not to men all of the days of our lives, and we will know the strength of the Lord.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 60-62 and Romans 5.
