Speaking God's Words
Sometimes, we don't say what we know we should say to others. I know for myself I second guess myself, and many times I end up talking myself out of saying anything. Then, later I find out that I should have spoken up. This is especially true when it comes to speaking what God has told us to say to others. That is one of the most important things we can do on any given day.
The prophet Ezekiel was sent by God to speak to the people of Israel in exile in Babylon. (Ezekiel 2:7) God was very clear when he told Ezekiel to speak His words whether they listened or not, for they were rebellious people. That was God's mandate to his prophet, but I believe it is His will for all of us, as believers.
As Christians, we are God's hands and feet to go and to do what He commands us to do. We are his mouth and His tongue to express to our peers the very words of God from the Bible or words that God speaks to our heart to deliver to them. We must not let the fact that they might not listen because of their rebelliousness stop us from saying what needs to be said.
The reason for this is that we can't ever tell the impact our words will have on another person. Yes, I preach sermons, and people hear the truth of God, but that is my "job" so to speak. When a Christian friend shares with them, it has the potential to help them much more than any sermon. Let's determine right now to listen to the Lord and deliver His words to those around us as He sends us to them and see what happens.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezekiel 3-5.
