Without Anxiety
Many people live with an unsettled feeling all of the time. God doesn't want any of us to live like that. We might be anxious about our work or family problems. Many of us are constantly concerned about our finances. Others are nervous about the conditions in our world and in our country. God wants us to learn how to live in freedom from anxiety.
God addressed His people when they were in exile in Babylon. (Jeremiah 30:10) He told the people of Judah and Israel not to fear or to be dismayed, because He was going to save them far away, and their descendants who were in captivity. He assured them that they would return and be at peace, without anxiety, and no one would make them afraid. God's heart about this hasn't changed.
We all need to focus on the fact that God is our Salvation. I don't just mean our salvation from our sins. I mean, He is our salvation from anything around us each day that could harm us. He knows all that is going on. He knows our needs. He cares, and He will meet those needs in the right way and at the right time, as we trust Him.
Our faith is the key to being without anxiety. Fear comes from an absence of faith. Anxiety comes because we are not trusting the Lord and following His way, but we are trusting in ourselves or others to deliver us from the problems of life. We will live without anxiety when we rest in the Lord. We will be at peace, and no one will make us afraid, because we know God is there to deal with whoever or whatever might come our way.
