Having God with You
It is always a comfort for me to have someone with me who loves me and is ready to help me with whatever might happen. This is especially true when I face a challenge or when I have a difficult job to do. Then, I have the help to do these things that I can't do myself. It is great to have a carpenter friend or a mechanic friend. I think we all would agree with this. However, the greatest Person to have with us at all times is God.
When we have God with us, we are safe and secure. We have everything we need, no matter what comes up. That is what the Lord wants us to know for sure. (Isaiah 41:10) He has told us not to fear, because He is with us. We must not be afraid, because He is our God. He will strengthen us and help us. He will uphold us with His righteous right hand. What a promise!
I believe that verse is easy enough to understand, but the question is, "Does it apply to all of us?" Is God our God? Yes, I know there is only One God. He is God over all people. However, He is not the personal God of every person. Many people have rejected Him. They have never put their trust in Him. In that case this promise doesn't apply to them.
For those who don't know the Lord Jesus as personal Lord and Savior, they have a lot to fear. They need to be afraid of what will happen to them in the future, because they do not have God to uphold them by His righteous right hand. They do not have the strength of the Lord, and when their life comes to an end, they face eternity separated from God in a terrible place of torment forever. Please, do not let that happen to you.
