God's Work Remains Forever

Whatever we do as humans is imperfect, and it doesn't really last very long at all. People try to build things that will stand the test of time, but they all crumble and deteriorate over time. We do our best to solve a problem, but we find that our solution is not complete. It is only God who can do things that last forever and are perfect.

The Word of God assures us of this vital truth. (Ecclesiastes 3:14) Whatever God does will remain forever; there is nothing to add to it, and there is nothing to take from it. And God has so worked, that people will fear Him. God deserves all of our respect and godly fear, because we see His perfection all around us every day.

The sun comes up every morning, and it sets in the evening. It has done that perfectly since God created the universe. It will continue until He stops it, but nothing else can ever stop it. The seasons come and go in God's order, so that the crops can grow, and we can have the food we need. This has been happening since creation. When God works, it lasts, and there is nothing we can add to it or take from it. He is amazing.

This is why we need to trust the Lord and fear the Lord. We need to listen to Him and put our trust in Him. We can't do anything that lasts, but He can and will give us salvation and an eternal home in the perfect place of heaven. Let's not try to make our own way and do our work in our power. Let's trust Jesus as Lord and let Him do for us what is lasting and perfect.
