God Supports the Fallen

We all fail, at times. It is never fun to fail. Failure can bring us down to despair, if we let it. However, there is no need for that to ever happen. Remember, failure is never final, unless we give up, and God is always there to help us when we fail. We just have to trust Him.

David had experienced failure in his life. Some of his failures were huge. However, he came to realize something very important. (Psalm 145:14) "The Lord supports all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down." That verse should be a great encouragement to all of us, because it is very true. God is there for all who fall and are bowed down.

We all need to admit our limitations. We are not able to do whatever we want to do in our own strength and intellect. So when we try to achieve things on our own, we fail. God sees our failure. He sees us fall, and He is there to help us up and to show us why we fell. He is there to give us His power to go on and to succeed the next time, if we will trust Him each step of the way.

Maybe you find yourself bowed down today. Perhaps your troubles have overwhelmed you. You think things will never be good for you again. That is a lie from the devil. God is there to raise you up. He is there to lift your spirits and to encourage you. However, He is waiting for you to see Him and cry out for His help. Then, He wants you to rely on Him every day, not to rely on yourself.
