God Does What He Pleases

Many people would like to be able to do whatever pleases them. They would like to have enough money to buy anything they want, or to go anywhere they want to go. They would like to be free not to have to work, and to be living a life of leisure all of the time. The problem is that no human being is able to do that. It is simply a desire of many.

 However, it is reality for God. The psalmist made sure that we all know this fact. (Psalm 115:3) Our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases. This is possible because God is the only All-powerful, All-wise Being in the universe. He has the ability to do whatever He pleases, and He always does the right thing.

Some people think they can manipulate God. They think by praying or doing certain things, they can get God to do what they want Him to do. Let me assure all of us that God is in control, and we cannot control Him, even a little bit. He does what He pleases, because He knows that the whole universe depends on Him doing the right things at the right time. 

We need to stop trying to manipulate our God and submit to Him. We need to worship Him and ask Him to show us what pleases Him, so we can join Him in what He wants to do. Once we do that, we will have found the secret to a joyful, fulfilling life. If we try to control God, we will be miserable and fail at life.
