Everyone Doing What They Think Is Right

We live in a very crazy time. We have come to the place where many people believe that they can do whatever they think is right, and that becomes right for them, no matter what they think. One name for this philosophy is relativism. People believe that all truth is relative, so it can be changed to fit what they want to believe. This leads to all kinds of trouble in society.

God warned Israel about this as they were about to enter Canaan. (Deuteronomy 12:8) He commanded them not to do what people were doing at that time. They were doing whatever was right in their own eyes. Instead, they were to follow God's laws and instruction. God's way is the only right way.

Today, we see people thinking that all kinds of sexual immorality is just fine. In fact, they are making up new ways to be immoral sexually all the time. This leads to the breakdown of the family, so that we have several generations that have grown up in dysfunctional families, and then, had dysfunctional families of their own. This causes the breakdown of society.

We have many people who do not think God's order of creation is the only right way. Children are being taught in public school that men can marry men and ladies can marry ladies. The Supreme Court even ruled that this is the law of the land, but that doesn't make it right. God has told us that marriage is the union of a man and a woman in a covenant relationship. We need to heed this warning and get back to God's absolute truth in every area of life.
