Restoration Provided

I think we all like to hear stories of people who go from rages to riches. Those stories give us hope. It is even better to hear the testimony of a person who was striving, but he or she fell from their prominence only to be restored later. This is especially the case for us, as believers. We long to know that God's restoration of our lives is possible.

God promised restoration to Israel. (Ezekiel 29:21) God told Ezekiel that the day will come when He will cause the ancient glory of Israel to revive. Then, Ezekiel's words will be respected, and the people will know that God is the Lord of all. This should bring a great spark of hope to all of us, as believers.

We know that Israel did not return to her ancient glory after the fall of Israel and Judah. Yes, they returned home and rebuilt the Temple and the walls, but it was nothing compared to the first glory. It stayed gone for over 1,000 years, but now the Jews are back in the land, Jerusalem is their capital city, and the glory is returning. Ezekiel's words must be respected now and the Lord exalted.

This shows the power of God to restore your life, if you know Jesus, and you have drifted from the Lord. Restoration is God's intention. He will punish you for your sins and draw you back to Him. If you will repent, He will not only restore your spiritual glory, He will make it even better than before. He is waiting to see what you will do.
