God Will Display His Holiness

The absolute holiness of God is something that is very difficult for us to grasp. We are so limited in holiness, no matter if we know the Lord and have grown in His grace or not. God always does the right thing, and He never does the wrong thing. Whatever He does, He does it with all of His might to accomplish all of His will. He never does anything half-way.

Ezekiel foretold of future time when God's holiness will be displayed for all to see. (Ezekiel 38:16) God foretold that Gog will attack His people Israel, covering their land like a cloud. At that time in Ezekiel's distant future God will bring Gog against His land as everyone watches, and His holiness will be displayed by what happens to Gog. Then, all the nations will know that He is the Lord. I can only imagine that glorious display of holiness.

We can be sure that God is working His plan for Israel and for all Christians and for all the nations of this world, as He brings this part of history to a close. At times, God uses nations to execute His perfect justice, which is part of His holiness. At this time in the future, God will use the country of Gog to show people how He can protect His people from any harm.

He will do this so all the world will see His holiness in His power to punish the unrighteous and to bless the righteous. He will do this, so all will know that He is the Lord, and they can turn to Him to save them, too. This is how the people will get a better view of God's holiness, since He Himself will display it for us in all His glory.
