Coming Out as Pure as Gold

What is going to happen when we stand before the Lord in the time of judgment? Will it be a good time or a terrible time? The results of our meeting with God are up to us. We have to decide to follow Him and do His will. Then, He will help us, but the first step is up to us.

Job knew this. (Job 23:10-11) He told his friends that God knew where he was going, and when he was tested by God, he would come out as pure as gold. He knew that because he had stayed on God's paths, and he had followed His ways, not turning aside. May we all be as confident about our judgment as Job was.

God sees our hearts. He knows which way we are going. He knows whether we are set on going His way or our own way. It is only when He sees us fully following Him that we can be assured of coming out as pure as gold. That should be our goal in life.

God shows us His paths. He leads us like a Shepherd. The question is, "Will we follow Him on His paths for our life?" We must determine that we will follow His ways and not turn aside to the ways of this world. This is totally possible for any of us who know Jesus as our Lord and Savior. It is what God wants to see and to be able to reward us for at the Judgment.
