Blaming God

Many people blame God for all kinds of things. This is especially true when something bad happens to them. They think God is being unfair to them, or they think that He is against them because they are doing something that He doesn't like. The truth is that we should never blame God for doing anything wrong, because He can never sin. If we blame God, we are the ones who are doing wrong.

Job had a lot of bad things that happened to him. God allowed Satan to take away all of his possessions, all of his servants, and all of his children and their families. (Job 1:22) However, in all of that, Job did not sin by blaming God. That showed Job's righteous heart.

Most bad things happen to us because of something we have done. We may not like to admit our faults, but that is true. When we make bad choices, or we act in ways that are wrong, those actions have consequences. God has to punish us in love to try to teach us and to get us to go by His ways and not the wrongs ways.

However, there are times when God allows bad things to happen to us. We call them trials. Those trials are not to hurt us, but to help us. Just like Job did not do anything to deserve what happened to Him, we may not have done anything wrong. God sends the trials to strengthen us, and if we trust Him, we will overcome, so that we come out better in the end, just like Job. That is why we should never blame God.
