Sent to the Stubborn and Obstinate

Every Christian is gifted by God and sent to do some type of ministry. There are no exceptions. We do not get to choose our gifts, and we are not in charge of what we do. God made us, and He knows best. Jesus is Lord, so we do what He sends us to do. Some ministries are more visible, and some are behind the scenes. They are all important. God chose a special calling for the Prophet Ezekiel. (Ezekiel 2:4) He sent Ezekiel to the stubborn and obstinate children of God. He was to speak whether they listened or not, and he was to say to them, "Thus says the Lord God." He was to speak the Word of God to them. All of us are able to say the same thing, and we should be saying it to all those around us.

The Bible is the Word of God. Any believer can share the words of the Bible with others, and he or she is saying, "Thus says the Lord God." When we share God's Word, it is sharp and powerful. It cuts people to the heart, and the Holy Spirit uses it to show them the truth. Like Ezekiel, we are to share God's Word, whether the people listen or not. The results are not up to us. The sharing is our responsibility. We live in a day and time of stubborn and obstinate people, both unbelievers and believers. Let's decide to be faithful to God's calling upon us, no matter how we are received by others. God will bless us for being faithful.
