The Voice

I believe there is a television show called "The Voice." I do not watch it regularly, but I have seen one or two people sing on this show. They had very good voices, but they were not really The Voice. I have heard The Voice. Have you heard The Voice? Moses heard The Voice when he entered the Tent of Meeting to speak with God. The Voice of God was heard from between the two angel-cherubim above the Atonement-Cover on the Chest of Testimony or the Ark of the Covenant. Then, Moses would speak with God. (Numbers 7:89) I am glad it is not that complicated today, but there are some things that help us hear The Voice today.

God speaks to His sheep, His children. (John 10:27) Therefore, if we want to hear The Voice of God, we must truly turn from our sins, put our trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and surrender to Him as Lord of our lives forever. However, once we come to know Jesus, we have to be intentional about entering the presence of God to speak with Him, much like Moses entered the Tent of Meeting. We must prepare our hearts by confessing any sins which the Spirit shows us. (I John 1:9) Then, we must seek Him with all of our heart. When we do these things, God has promised to be found by us and to speak with us, as He spoke to so many people in the Bible. He doesn't always speak in an audible voice, but The Voice comes through loud and clear, even when it is not out loud. He speaks to our heart, and at times, we know exactly what He is saying, at other times, He leads us by putting things into our hearts and minds. Either way, He is speaking to us, and we need to listen and obey. The more we obey, the more He speaks. What a blessing to hear The Voice and do the will of Almighty God for His honor and glory!
