Confession and Belief

There are many views on God and religion. Our world is so confused about the eternal things that matter the most in life. However, the Bible is the Word of God, and it is very clear on these things. Yes, we can trust the Bible, because there is much evidence that it is true and inspired by God. Therefore, we need to pay attention to what the Bible says about salvation. It is not confusing or difficult to understand. All it takes is a heart that is ready to do two things sincerely. (Romans 10:9) God inspired Paul to write this for the whole world to be perfectly clear on being saved from our sins.

It is up to us to decide on the Person of Jesus. Who is He? He claimed to be Lord of all, so if He was lying, He can't be a good teacher or a prophet. However, if He is Lord, which He is, we must come to the place where we confess to those around us that "Jesus is Lord." This is an open declaration that we have trusted Him as Lord of all and Lord of our life. At the same time we decide to believe that God, the Father, raised Him from the dead. Of course, that includes Jesus dying for our sins, being buried, and then rising again on the third day. He did that to pay for our sins, and show His victory over Satan, death, and the grave. When we put our trust in the fact of the resurrection, we are trusting in Jesus as Savior of all, and our personal Savior. Therefore, when we confess and believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior, God saves us as a gift of His grace. We have, in effect, surrendered to Jesus in faith as the Only One who can save us and keep us safe for eternity. I pray that we all will make sure we have decided these things and settled our salvation through confession and belief.
