God's Promise of Perfect Peace
Many people talk about having peace, but few know God's way to have peace. Consequently, few people have real peace, since it only comes from God. I hope we, as believers, have peace and know how to tell others God's way to perfect peace. After all, He gave Isaiah a promise for us to have peace, if we do one fairly simple thing. (Isaiah 26:3,4) Do you know what that one thing is? Let's look and see, so we can apply the truth of this promise to our life.
Personal peace is centered in the mind. If we have a fearful, fretting, or frustrated mind, we will not have peace. We must have our mind set on the Lord and fully dependent on Him. Then, we will be established on Him, the Rock. We will not need to be fearful of anyone or anything, because He is All-powerful. He will protect us. We will not need to fret, because we will not have anything to worry about. We will know that He is All-knowing, and He has a wonderful plan for our life that is better than anything we could ever dream up. We will not be frustrated, because we will be fully faithful to Him, knowing how to do His will in His way. Once we trust in the Lord like this, He gives us perfect peace, complete peace. (Philippians 4:6,7) This is not something we just "hope" will happen. It is God's promise of perfect peace for us every day.
