God's Plan Will Take Place

There is one thing that will always happen. God's plan will always be carried out. No one can thwart the plan of God. God knows the end from the beginning. He sees His whole plan in advance. Therefore, since He is so powerful, He assures us His plan will take place. (Isaiah 46:10) We can trust Him in that. However, I do not think some people understand what this means.

This does not mean that everything that happens is according to God's plan. When we sin, that is not God's plan. We can't blame our sin on Him by saying, "Since God allowed it to happen, it must have been His will." No. We must put that type of thinking far from us. God can still work His plan, even when we are sinning. He can use other people, or He can do His will another way. Also, this does not mean that all of the bad things that happen are caused by God. Most sickness and suffering are not God's will. They are the result of personal sins or the sin of Adam that corrupted everything in this universe. Yes, God does bring punishment at times, but most of the terrible things that happen, we bring on ourselves by our choices. God allows those things to teach us lessons, but they are not His will. He wants us to do the right thing the first time and be blessed., not punished.
