God Does Whatever He Pleases
This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It hits me each year as I am reading through God's Word, and I think of it at various times throughout the year. It has so much meaning, and the meaning is so important for our lives. (Psalm 115:3) I pray we will all receive a blessing as we briefly digest this verse.
"Our God," not God or The God, but our God. When we know Christ as our Lord and Savior, God is our God. We belong to Him. He is our Father. Our God "is" in heaven. He is the creator of the universe. He created heaven as His perfect place with no sin, and He has always been there. Yes, Jesus became The God/ Man and lived on the earth, but God, the Father, is in heaven and He will always be in heaven. God does whatever He pleases. We can ask Him to do our will, but He does what He pleases, not what we please. Yes, He does answer our prayers and fulfill our desires, but only when it pleases Him, and we please Him. Therefore, there is no need to try to manipulate God. He can't be coerced into doing anything. However, He loves us, and it pleases Him to bless us, as we delight in Him and obey Him. What a Mighty God! There is none like Him.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 116-118.
