He Shall Reign Forever and Ever
One of the greatest things about reading the book of Revelation is that I have read the end, and our side wins. I know most of you have heard that before, but it is so true. What could be better than the confident assurance that one day our Lord will prevail so decisively against Satan and his demons that they will be totally vanquished. Then, the kingdom of the world will become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ. Then, Christ will reign forever and ever. (Revelation 11:15) We know that whatever happens in the meantime Jesus will be triumphant.
Life is uncertain. There is nothing that is secure in this world. Everything is volatile and constantly changing. We never know what will happen to the stock market, the economy, or our government. Our country could fall to a foreign power, and our lives could be drastically different. It has happened to many people on many occasions all through the history of this world. The Lord is the only Person who is eternal and unchanging. He created this world, and He is leading it to His conclusion. We can be sure that it will all happen as He has planned. What we must do is to make sure we are trusting Him, so that we have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That way, if the world as we know it comes to an end tomorrow, we know the One who is in charge of everything. We know the Ruler who will reign forever and ever. In that way, we are stable and our eternal destiny is secure. We will be with Him forever. Please, seek Him and trust Him with all your life today, so you can be a joint-heir of all things with Jesus Christ, the Eternal King.
