Worthy is The Lamb !!!

Christmas is our celebration of the incarnation of Jesus Christ. He came as a little baby born of a virgin, so He could be "God with us," Immanuel. However, why did He come like that? Why did He have to be 100% God and 100% man? The reason is that Jesus was born to be The Lamb of God, slain for the sins of the world. Because Jesus humbled Himself to take that role and die the worst death possible for all of the sins of mankind, God, the Father, exalted Him to the place where He is worthy of all of our praise. (Revelation 5:11,12) The apostle John gave us a glimpse into heaven and the praise Jesus is receiving their now. It gets us ready for the time when we can join the angels in that chorus of praise to The Lamb.

John was taken to heaven to see the throne of God and The Lamb. There he was able to experience the praise of myriads of myriads and thousands and thousands of angels, plus the living creatures and the elders, saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is The Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing." What does that show us? The 4 living creatures represent all of the living beings that God made, while the 24 elders represent the believers of the Old and New Testaments. Therefore, when you put them together with all of the angels, the scene tells us that Jesus is worthy of all of our praise and the praise of everything that has breath.

This Christmas, please, do not forget to give all of the praise and glory and blessings to Jesus, The Lamb of God, slain for the sins of the world. That is much more important than any other gift. And if you have not personally received the gift of salvation by trusting The Lamb as your Lord and Savior, please do it today.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Revelation 6,7.
