Worship Before the Throne of God

There will be a great day in heaven when people from every nation, tribe, people, and tongue will worship the Lord with a loud voice. They will be clothed in white and have palm branches in their hands. (Revelation 7:9,10) John was shown this scene in Heaven so that we would know that eventually there will be people saved from every people group of this earth, and we will all be gathered to worship God together in glory. What a day that will be!

This shows me two things. First of all, missions to the people groups of this world is a priority with God, so it needs to be our priority, too. God longs for the day that He will receive worship from every corner of the globe and in every language spoken. He deserves this worship, and it was always His goal for the gospel to be shared with all people and open to all to receive. Let's make sure we do what we can to have the mind of God in this and to put our money where our mind is. Secondly, our worship here should include people of all races, languages, and backgrounds. We must not give in to the comfortable thing, which is to worship with people like us in a way that is comfortable to us. We should desire to see people of all races and backgrounds in our communities saved, so they can be a part of our church family and worship the Lord together with us. I believe that brings a big smile to God's face when He sees us do that.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Revelation 8-10.
