The War of the Great Day of God
The seven years of tribulation will come to an end with a huge war against Israel, since the Jews had turned to Jesus. The armies will be gathered, more than 200 million strong, and Jesus will come again with all of the believers who had been raptured. He will slay the armies miraculously, without firing a shot. Then, He will set up His kingdom and throne in Jerusalem, and we shall reign with Him 1,000 years. (Revelation 16:13,14) We call this battle, Armageddon, because they will be gathered in the valley with that name.
Satan is just as much self-deceived as he is a deceiver of people. He always thinks he can defeat God, but he can't. This battle is one last attempt to thwart the will of God and rule the earth. He, the Antichrist,and the False Prophet send out 3 unclean spirits to gather the kings of the earth to this battle. The result is that they are completely defeated. We will read how it all happens tomorrow, but we need to see that Satan is powerful, but he is no match for the Lord. He can and will defeat us, if we fight in our power, but if we trust the Lord, the Spirit overcomes Him every time.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Revelation 17-19.
