God's Bountiful Blessings
It is right for us to sing to the Lord, for He has dealt bountifully with all of us. (Psalm 13:6) I know sometimes we can get discouraged because of the trials and tribulations of this life. However, even the people with the most problems have much for which to be thankful. Let's take time to consider why we should sing heartily to the Lord.
God gave us life, and without life we would not experience any joy at all. God protects our lives. Yes, there are those whose lives are shorter, but many of us get to enjoy decades of blessings and wonderful experiences. God blesses His children with eternal life. That is perhaps the greatest blessing of all. We know we will live forever with Him, and we will dwell in heaven when we leave here. In fact, God blesses us, as believers, with every spiritual blessing, so that we have all that we need for life and godliness. There is never an excuse for any Christian not to be able to live according to God's will and His way. Therefore, we can all see God has bountifully with us, though we may have health problems, money problems, and personal relationship problems. If we keep this all in perspective, even those difficulties don't seem so bad.
I pray that all of us can sing to the Lord and say, "He has dealt bountifully with me."
Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalms 15-17.
