He Shall Reign Forever and Ever
Jesus is Lord, and He is Savior of the world. However, He is also a King. One day He will rule the kingdoms of this world, when they become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ. (Revelation 11:15) With all of the tension and turmoil in our world this should give us, as believers, a great amount of peace. We are on the winning team. We are the subjects of the right King and the Kingdom of God.
Do you think of Jesus as the King? We all should put ourselves under His reign every day. Our aim should be to please Him and to serve Him, because He is the Sovereign God of the universe. Then, the Bible says one day we will reign with Him when the kingdoms of this world become His kingdoms. If He reigns in our lives now, it will be a very natural task for us to reign with Him then. I pray that we all will pray for that to be the purpose of our lives each day.
