Moral Decline and Continual Unfaithfulness

God brought the nation of Judah low, because King Ahaz encouraged moral decline, and he was continually unfaithful to the Lord. (II Chronicles 28:19) Leaders have a huge effect on the people of a country. When they are unfaithful to the Lord, it makes everyone think they should be unfaithful, too. When there is moral decline, not only does God have to punish the sins, but people with low morals do not work to make the country successful, either. We need to learn these lessons in America.

Over the past 50 years, we have seen a steady moral decline in our country. Marriage is no longer honored as sacred. Children do not honor their parents. The work ethic has become worse and worse for the majority of our people. There is sexual immorality and pornography abounding all around us in every form. Abortion, murder, and violent crimes happen every day in the city, the suburbs, and in the rural areas. Our country is completely different from the way it was in the early 1960's. Much of this has happened because of the faithfulness of our leaders and the decision not to be faithful to the Christian foundation of our society.

If we want to see God bring America up again, and make America great again, it will not come through politics. It will come through godly leaders who call our people to Judeo-Christian morals and values, while ceasing the religious persecution against Christians and Christianity. Please, join with me to pray and to engage our culture in such a way as to see this decline reversed and faithfulness restored.

Tomorrow, I intend to read II Chronicles 29-32.
